LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A pain-free Tiger Woods says he's ready for the PGA Championship.
Woods arrived at Valhalla just after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, heading directly to the driving range where he worked for about an hour, showing no indication of any issues with his back. Woods later played the front nine of the course with three other players before meeting with reporters and walking the back nine.
He said he's only on anti-inflammatory medicine and that he did not re-injure the part of his back that was surgically repaired.
Woods says the course is completely different from the last time he played it in 2000. He tees off at 8:35 a.m. Thursday morning from the 10th tee.
