We've all heard the rumor that one of Metallica's sets at Louder Than Life may be a tribute to the "Black Album," which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Don't know if that will happen yet. Probably have to wait till a little closer to the show to find out. We do know this though, Metallica is going to put out a special reissue of the "Black Album" called "Metallica Blacklist" that features 53 different artists doing cover versions of their favorite songs from the record, and all of the proceeds will go to their All Within My Hands Foundation.

Pretty cool idea, really. And it has a little local flavor. My Morning Jacket, White Reaper, and Cage the Elephant will all be participating.

Check out the preview...

Don't know the release date yet, but there will be tons of different version you can pick-up. Check out more details on those here.
