Machine Gun Kelly Taps Halsey For Pop Punk Song 'Forget Me Too'

Machine Gun Kelly is switching lanes on his latest LP.

The 30-year-old has ditched his signature rap sound on his fifth studio album, Tickets to My Downfall, a guitar-driven project out today from Bad Boy and Interscope Records.

In addition to an impressive lineup of featured artists including Blackbear ("My Ex's Best Friend"), Iann Dior ("Nothing Inside"), and Trippie Redd ("All I Know"), MGK’s most noticeable offering from the 15-track LP is his somber punk rock team-up “Forget Me Too” featuring singer Halsey.

Wanting stability and a fresh start at love, the rapper-turned-rocker and the pop songbird sing of seeking closure after suffering through painful relationships. “You want me to forget you/ Okay, forget me too/ You tell me you hate me, baby/ Yeah, I bet you do,” the artists sing together on the chorus over shredding guitars and loud drum productions.

As aforementioned, this album marks MGK’s first full-length foray into the pop punscene, as his past four albums have all been heavily imbued with rap and hip-hop sounds.

The album also features previously-released singles “Concert for Aliens” and “Bloody Valentine,” the music video of which for the latter features MGK’s girlfriend, actress Megan Fox, who also lends guest vocals to the track “Banyan Tree (Interlude).”
