Lil Nas X stopped by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club on Thursday, and got candid about everything from cancel culture, to be judged, to being a devout Barb. It's rare that fans get to know more of the 'Panini" rapper's personal side, but during the open and honest interview, Lil Nas did reveal one of the major inspirations behind his confidence and unapologetic behavior.

When host Charlamagne Tha God asked, "Who do you respect? Who do you hear from and it sticks to you?" The "Montero" star admitted,

"I literally sometimes look up Kanye motivational videos and whatnot. Kanye is outspoken as ****. And even though that might not always come out as great and whatnot, I love that. I wish everybody was like that. I want to be more like that."

Charlamagne chimed in saying that Kanye's unwavering attitude has allowed the world to give him grace for his mistakes, often. Lil Nas added:

"He set that up for himself. He's never going back on it. He's like 'I said that. It's done, let's move on.' And people are just like, 'yea, have you heard that new Kanye song.'"

As for his response to critics saying he's a bad influence on kids, X said:

"We really only get one chance to do this [life]. I'm not about to pander to your kids, or you. I even have to do this with my family members. [They] may not always agree with what I'm doing. Or whoever I'm dating. They may not agree. But I honestly want to live like 'This is our life. We should do this **** so, **** what anyone else thinks.'"

The candid convo comes just one day before Lil Nas X's debut album Montero hits streaming services. Check out the full interview below.
