Normally roadies and assistants are the ones getting paid for their work, but Gene Simmons is asking fans to pay him for their services on his upcoming solo tour.
The former KISS bassist is offering a "Personal Assistant and Band Roadie for the Day" experience during his US tour but it comes with the hefty price tag of $12,495. The tour runs from April 3-May 24 and only one experience is available per show. Although the name eludes to more work than fun, the details sound like a pretty awesome experience for a diehard fan with some cash to spare. You and a guest get to meet Simmons early in the day to go over his schedule, then accompany the band during load-in and help set up for the show before attending soundcheck and sharing a meal with the rock icon. Later, the band will bring you out during the show for a special introduction, and you'll get some goodies to take home too: autographs, the set list, photos, and even a KISS-rehearsal bass signed by Simmons. However, there's one thing the experience doesn't include: tickets to the show. But if you can afford $12,495, what's a little more?
